Product Specialist – Compression (Dublin)

In your role as Product Specialist - Compression you will provide procedural and product expertise to targeted customers and Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) through field travel, meeting attendance, educational seminars, and/or case observations. Manage all aspects of business in the field.
Provide education of clinical personnel on product options, compression levels, measurements and applications. Facilitate measurements for compression products and develop and support strong clinical relationships. Objectives of the role are to achieve sales targets and objectives, generate new business on territory, and maintain existing business on territory.
The product range is: Compression Therapy, Custom Fit, Ready to Wear
Territory: Leinster & Connaught (territory will not be restricted to this area only and flexibility may be required at times)
Role/Responsibilities:
* Generate profitable territory sales in line with annual, quarterly and monthly sales targets through a combination of appropriate activities with existing and potential customers.
* Establish strong working relationships with a range of senior health professionals.
* Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the product range and a sound understanding of the associated medical discipline.
* Provide technical training and support to clinical personnel on the use and fitting of the Compression product range.
* Provide measuring training and facilitate measuring for Compression Products.
* Develop business by creating educational/study day programs to increase clinicians' safe and effective use of consumables, in collaboration with Marketing and Sales Training.
* Ability to explore new clients, market potential and business opportunities.
* Prioritise objectives and schedule work to make best use of time and resources.
* Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of sales products.
* Actively gather market intelligence on our own and competitor portfolio / activities and supply information punctually in line with the requirements set out by management.
* Seek and evaluate new product ideas, providing adequate information and facilitating ongoing communication. Assist in product evaluations and/or clinical studies as appropriate.
* Work closely and effectively with other members of the sales team and with support functions to provide the best possible service to the customer and the patient.
* Develop and maintain accurate customer and account records for the territory.
* Work creatively to create a market leading position.
* Provide detailed, accurate and timely updates to the relevant Business Manager.
* Participate in trade shows, training, and marketing activities.
Education/Experience:
* Experience in a clinical/nursing setting and/or previous sales experience/knowledge in the Medical Devices sector are desirable.
* Background knowledge and experience of Lymphoedema is an advantage.
* Professional skills: Sales and Territory Analysis, Budget Management, Presentation skills.
* Ability to meet frequently with customers and other decision makers.
* Ability to travel frequently throughout assigned territory.
* Ability to travel abroad for training.
* Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others.
* Excellent written, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Excellent organisational skills.
* Full clean Driver’s licence.
