Purpose:
The Project Design Manager is responsible for coordinating the Design team for the project, which includes an Engineering partner.
They will manage prioritization and on-time delivery of design deliverables to meet the construction schedule requirements.
The role involves coordinating activities in the suite team to support design activities, workshops, and other tasks.
This includes design delivery, documentation, qualification efforts, and other related responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the Project Design team from a client-side perspective (noting that engineering services are provided by an External Engineering Partner).
* Ensure the External Engineering Partner prioritizes and delivers on scope according to construction schedule needs, escalating issues as necessary.
* Monitor and challenge the accuracy of information supporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
* Monitor project progress and performance.
* Partner with the External Engineering Partner, Construction Manager, Quality Control personnel, and other disciplines on planning and executing scope.
* Provide status reports to the Core team and Project Management.
* Ensure all work is managed in accordance with procedures and best practices, in collaboration with the technical lead.
* Lead, in collaboration with the External Engineering Partner, Construction Manager, and partners, the cost, risk, change management, and schedule effort for the design team.
* Ensure all decisions, risks, and action logs are kept up-to-date.
* Resolve cross-functional issues across the suite teams or issues impacting the design team.
* Monitor the performance of the Design team (cost, effort, scope, etc.) against the project management plan and performance baseline.
* Interface with other disciplines and stakeholders to ensure the project meets business needs.
* Ensure lessons learned, changes, and impact of changes are captured by all project leads for the project.
Requirements:
* Design Manager experience for large capital projects managing EP teams on design.
* Experience in scope, cost, and schedule management.
* Experience working on Pharma projects (€200m +) API project experience.
* Project Management Certification.
