Assistance Category Manager / D22 / Hybrid Model
Our client is a technology product distributor seeking an Assistance Category Manager to join the consumer retail department. Salary: €55K plus 30% bonus. Hybrid option: 2 days in office, 3 days working from home.
The Candidate:
* Focus on developing and managing a rolling monthly/quarterly promotional plan to ensure both KPI’s are hit.
* Qualifying product nominations, product offers, and promotional details for presentation monthly to the HO team.
* Regular stock and sales analysis to ensure effective and robust stock management and stock availability.
* Working closely with Category Manager and Consumer Vendor Manager to continually evaluate potential new vendor partners and/or new products.
* Managing the process from end to end including product selection.
* Working closely with the Category team to develop the optimum product offering for the consumer.
* Working closely with the Category team to ensure a robust exit strategy is in place post the promotional end dates.
* In conjunction with the Category team, meeting with all key vendors to ensure they are aware of the promotional opportunities and respective timelines.
* Coordinating and managing the point of sale and the merchandising briefs to ensure all promotions are delivered in full.
* Maintain appropriate confidentiality of information made available by performance of this role.
* To play a pivotal role in design, funding, and sign-off process for all POS.
* To play a pivotal role in the design of the annual Christmas Gift Guide working with key stakeholders such as vendors, designers, etc.
Qualifications:
* Min. 2-3 years of experience ideally in a category management environment.
* Candidate to possess strong commercial acumen.
* Highly proficient PC skills with a superior/advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with strong emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel as a must.
* Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a distinct advantage.
* 3rd level business degree is an advantage.
* Experience in/knowledge of FMCG environment.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Excellent communication skills with the highest levels of integrity.
* Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
