Great National South Court Hotel in Raheen, Limerick has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Sales & Marketing Executive to join their exceptional and expanding team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
You will be the corporate & leisure markets point of contact in the hotel, acting as our brand ambassador, and our business development lead, and assisting with content creation.
You will play a key role in delivering a friendly and professional service to our clients and proactively aim to increase hotel revenue through sales activities.
You will represent the Great National Group in the local marketplace, selling locally, nationally and globally and play a major role in the future success and growth of our business.We are proudly certified as a Great Place to Work since November 2022 and are certified as an Excellent Employer for 2025 as part of Failte Ireland's Employer Excellence Programme and we offer structured programs for growth and career advancement as we consider our employees to be our greatest asset.Duties & Responsibilities:Assist the Leadership team in developing sales plans and strategies in order to achieve both food and rooms sales budgets in the hotel.Lead the business development strategy, researching and chasing new business and converting this to sales revenueLiaise with all clientele, ensuring that all their needs and expectations are exceededRespond to sales inquiries from potential clients and customers seeking rooms, meeting space, food and beverage services, etc and win business from lead generation.Follow up on meetings, post sales & phone calls and enquiries with clients in a timely and professional manner.Conduct hotel site visits and presentations.Account management of your Key Accounts.Hosting and entertaining clients and maintaining client accounts.Support the promotion of the hotel though liaison with visitor attractions and partners for special offers and packages, as directed by the Deputy General Manager and General Manager.Determine rates, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts and accounts.Clarify and communicate details of all events to the relevant departments through preparing accurate and detailed function sheets.Liaise with the Head Chef regarding seasonal pricing and availability of menus etc.Actively participate in industry-related trade shows and events both at the local and national levels.Communicate with the hotel team in regards customer feedback, requirements, future bookings, rate requests.Take an active role in social media communication on behalf of the hotel.Manage all promotional collateral from copyright through to design & print and ensuringEnsure that the billing procedure is followed as standard and that all customer bills are billed to the proper account/ rooms etc.
and all outstanding accounts are settled in a timely manner.Attendance at weekly sales meeting and monthly revenue meetings for the Hotel and any meetings that may be deemed necessary for you to perform your dutiesDevelop and maintain good working relations with the other departments in the Hotel.The ideal candidate: A minimum of 1+ years' experience in a similar client relationship role is essential.Qualification in Sales & Marketing/ Tourism/Hospitality related field is advantageous.Passion for the Hospitality industry.Proactive and driven with a desire to meet and exceed targets.Excellent personal presentation / grooming to represent our brand professionally at all times.A true people person who can deliver exceptional customer service with confidence and professionalism in a warm, friendly and positive mannerExceptional customer service skills, with excellent problem solving ability.A hard working problem solver with a can do attitude who can think outside the box.Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi task and prioritise tasks effectively and maintain a seamless operation in particular during busy periods.Self driven with the ability to work as part of a team and independently under own initiative.Fluent English with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Be adaptable and willing to work a variety of flexible shifts, including weekends as per client requirements.Local, Regional, National travel may be required on occasion along with the need to attend and network Company events.Full clean driver's license is required.Have full permission or hold a valid visa to work in the EUWhat we can offer you:Weekly Pay StructureCompany funded educational programmesShape your career path with us
