Accounting Administrator
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Administrator to join our finance team in Cork. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting financial operations and ensuring smooth day-to-day account management.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and file VAT and RCT returns
* Maintain compliance with relevant tax regulations
* Manage sales invoicing, customer statements, and overdue account follow-ups
* Process customers receipts
* Process and file purchase and expense invoices
* Support monthly payment run process
* Investigate and resolve supplier queries
* Update and reconcile Creditors ledger to supplier statements
* Process weekly bank transactions and prepare monthly bank reconciliations
* Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts
* Assist with annual financial audit
Ideal Candidate:
* Accounting technician qualification is an advantage
* Strong background in a similar role within the SME sector
* VAT & RCT compliance experience is essential
* Previous experience in property/construction industry is desirable
* Ability to work as part of a team and take direction accurately
* Organised, efficient and confident personality
* Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines
* Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail
