As they continue their expansion, they are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Financial Controller to join their finance team.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the financial operations of a thriving business.
Role Overview The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the business, managing a team of four finance professionals, and ensuring robust financial controls are in place.
Reporting to the Finance Director, this role requires a hands-on, all-rounder who can handle financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance within a group structure.
Key Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of four finance professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
Prepare monthly management accounts, group consolidation reports, and variance analysis.
Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic decision-making.
Monitor cash flow, ensuring adequate funding and working capital management.
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including tax filings and audit processes.
Identify and implement efficiencies in financial systems, controls, and reporting processes.
Collaborate with senior management, external auditors, and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and support business growth.
Key Requirements Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Proven experience in a similar role.
Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
Hands-on approach with the ability to manage both high-level strategy and day-to-day financial operations.
Excellent leadership skills with experience managing and developing a finance team.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
