The Production team at StoryToys is pivotal in the creation and delivery of our suite of apps. The Associate Producer manages the key processes that deliver success for our team and our products. Your role touches the core of games production. Working closely with a Producer and the Head of Production, you will support the running of the day-to-day production pipeline.
Through Scrum and Agile methodologies, you will ensure the delivery of exceptional content. You will be responsible for promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. You manage production processes, emphasizing creativity, the audience needs, and commercial insight.
You will focus on delivering creative innovation for the team and audience. Team support and communication are critical to the role, while production planning, with milestones, process, and stakeholder management being key focus areas.
About the role:
The Production team at StoryToys is pivotal in the production of our suite of apps. As an Associate Producer, your role is to support the creative and technical teams across an array of critical functions. You will work closely with a Product Owner on the day-to-day running of the production pipeline. This is a role that touches on the core of games production. You will have responsibility for everything from asset management, production scheduling, and release support. Your expertise in Scrum and Agile practices will enable the delivery of exceptional content while promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. You will acquire insight into the company’s commercial imperatives while being sensitive to the needs of our audience. You will support flagship product development and project management, team communications, and reporting. You will also be creative.
What you'll do
* Manage core processes to support production of the highest quality. Be a key driver of the product's success.
* Create, assess, and report on production plans, identifying risks and mitigations.
* Manage and maintain SCRUM events and artifacts including the planning and tracking boards (JIRA, MIRO), backlogs, and priorities.
* Champion Scrum and Agile principles to promote transparency, collaboration, and iterative development.
* Foster effective communication and collaboration with a cross-functional global team.
* Encourage a culture of continuous improvement, analyzing project outcomes and implementing process enhancements to increase efficiency and quality.
* Surface, assess, and resolve complex production problems, suggesting alternatives.
* Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, providing project status updates of the production process.
* Oversee asset management including providing licensee partners with digital assets.
* Support the Lead Producer to ensure scheduling is clear and budgets tracked.
* Collaborate to develop creative ideas, whether for content, processes, or tools.
* Research strategy - organize outputs of creative sessions and guide follow-on creative sessions.
* Collaborate with the Global Brand, Marketing & PR and legal teams on product approvals.
* Support prompt and clear communication with our publishing partners on any production needs.
* Lifecycle management - Work with Customer Support to assess audience concerns and coordinate with teams as needed.
* Generate insights - Suggest analytical next steps and generate recommendations with a basic priority check.

What you'll need
* Ability to operate through ambiguity whilst providing clear insights to the team.
* A strong understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies, comfortable implementing different methodologies adaptive to the teams and goals.
* Experience in planning and collaborating via an array of planning techniques.
* Experience in shipping titles and/or live operations of at least 2 titles, across multiple platforms.
* Fluent in Jira, Excel, and Miro.
Nice to have
* 3-5 years as an associate producer, a scrum master, or similar with a focus on delivering creative productions.
* A love of classic and new children’s media and understanding of what children enjoy.
* Experience managing large features or bodies of work outsourced with a vendor.
* Mobile app or video game Production, Design or QA experience preferred but not required.
