The Role:
The Asset Management and Sustainability area is responsible for the development of asset policies, strategies and plans to determine the significant investment required into Ireland’s infrastructure. The area drives investment and the Sustainability and Innovation agenda for the organisation and leads on Environmental Regulation and Compliance activities, ensuring the quality of water and wastewater is continuously monitored. The Asset Management function is responsible for strategic planning, prioritisation, and development of Uisce Éireann’s Capital Works pipeline. The function plays a key role in promoting collaboration and co-ordination of activities across the three asset functions as well as providing environmental assessment and management expertise across Uisce Éireann.
The Asset Planning team is accountable for the timely delivery of essential, value for money water services Infrastructure for Ireland. The scope of the team's responsibility covers 5 main areas: Housing Growing, Capex Pipeline, Risk Maintenance and Safety, Critical Assets and Leakage.
Reporting to the Drainage Area Planning Technical Lead, the Wastewater Networks Performance Analyst will work in the Wastewater Networks Asset Planning team and will be responsible for supporting the enhancement of network performance data, in order to provide greater confidence to assessments undertaken on the performance and capacity of wastewater networks.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Support key wastewater network performance analysis;
Liaison with internal and external stakeholders to collate wastewater network asset information and data relevant to network performance assessment
Identify network enhancements and reinforcement requirements
Assess impacts of network growth scenarios on system performance
Provide technical assistance with respect to planning maintenance and developing contingency plans
Provide technical assistance with respect to dry weather flow / infiltration reduction
Identify potential root cause of reoccurring network incidents and identification of further surveys, assessments and mitigation measures;
Support Asset Intelligence on utilisation of datasets including GIS, Maximo, Workflow and other Uisce Éireann data systems to enable reporting on Network Performance;
Support Asset Planning Wastewater Network Regional teams and the Connection and Developer Services team with development impact assessments
Analyse and support the development of solutions for customer operational problems e.g. flooding, blockages
Support new initiatives within the fields of network analysis and management as required and directed by the Wastewater Networks Performance Manager
Perform other such duties in relation to work and asset management as Uisce Éireann may reasonably require
General Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with key internal stakeholders across the UÉ business
Responsible for promoting and delivering health and safety commitments across UÉ and its supply chain, reinforcing positive behaviours and delivering health and safety objectives and requirements to the highest industry standards.
Support the delivery of the Uisce Éireann Transformation Programme, driving results required within the Directorate and supporting organisation-wide objectives.
Provide visible leadership for your team, coaching and developing them to achieve their full potential and deliver business objectives, promoting collaboration and highlighting the behaviours that are expected from everyone in the team.
Other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirable and or relevant experience
A minimum of 3 years’ Experience in the water, utilities or similar industries is desirable
Experience of urban drainage systems design and operation is desirable
OR
Experience of data systems - such as GIS, InfoAsset Manager, modelling or business intelligence/data analytic software - relating to wastewater, utilities or similar industries is desirable
Preferred but not essential experience in day to day operational management of direct reports
Highly motivated individual, with a proven track record in resolving complex issues, along with the ability to communicate information to others
Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems and make improvement decisions that benefit the team/communities
Ability to develop effective partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders and ability to look for and listen to diverse perspectives
Demonstrate adaptability and the ability to change focus and direction in line with business strategy and requirement
Proven track record in identifying opportunities for process improvements and innovation.
Experience in taking ownership of safety responsibilities and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
