The Lochrann Resource Centre (LRC) in Wexford provides day opportunities to support people with sight loss.
We are currently recruiting for a part-time, permanent Programme Coordinator: ID/Autism.
The successful candidate will report to the National Day and Hub Services Manager.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan and lead sessions for groups of people who are blind or vision impaired.
2. Contribute to the planning, development, and implementation of activity programmes.
3. Manage and develop an allocated area of the service.
4. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
5. Conduct assessments on individuals who are blind or vision impaired and prepare reports.
6. Act as a keyworker for individuals with sight loss.
7. Ensure a safe and functional environment for service users and staff.
8. Support the National Day & Hub Services Manager in implementing operational plans.
9. Carry out other duties as reasonably requested by your line Manager or Senior Manager.

Selection Criteria - Mandatory
Education and Training:
1. Training qualifications in working within the field of ID/Autism/Disabilities.
2. Willingness to complete a QQI facilitator or social care qualification.
Achievements and Experience:
1. Minimum of 2 years' experience within the social care & health sector.
2. Experience of implementing activity programmes.
3. Experience of working with people with ID/autism.
Skills & Abilities:
1. Flexible working approach.
2. Good interpersonal skills.
3. Good working knowledge of the Microsoft suite.
4. Access to own vehicle and willingness to learn/drive the LRC minibus.
Garda Vetting required:
Garda Vetting will be conducted for the recommended candidate(s) as part of the selection process.
