Ayrton Group is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to work on an ongoing project with a large utilities provider in the South-West region.
This hybrid role involves 2/3 days per week visiting sites and the client office, with the remaining days spent working from home. This is a 6 month contract role with the potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct weekly site visits to various workplaces across your specified region.
* Manage documentation, including version control, change management, and controlled distribution.
* Review existing processes around risk communication.
* Develop and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
* Assist in collating and preparing monthly reports and KPIs.
* Provide reports on output and relevant information for reporting up the line.
* Support delivery of other related HSQE projects.
* Provide support and advice to internal stakeholders in preparing risk assessments.
* Assist with on-site training.
* Set high standards by encouraging others to embed a HSQE culture.
Key Requirements:
* Relevant third-level qualification – minimum Diploma in Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work.
* Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in a similar position.
* Previous experience on Utilities projects is required.
* Varied experience in other sectors such as Construction would be beneficial.
* Strong IT experience essential, particularly using Sharepoint and Microsoft packages, including Excel and Visio.
* Previous experience in report writing and collation of information for KPIs, safety metrics, presentations, etc.
* Experience working with all elements of a Safety Management System and knowledge of Integrated Management Systems, ISO 18001/45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001.
* Ability to prioritise tasks, work with schedules, and manage resources while remaining focused on main goals.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* You must be legally permitted to live and work in Ireland.
* Full driver's license and vehicle.
Salary:
Estimated salary: €50,000 - €70,000 per annum
