Due to our clients continuous growth into 2024, we are recruiting for an Assistant Accountant or Part-Qualified Accountant to join their team based in Clara Co Offaly.
This is a full time, permanent position which offers a 1:00 pm finish every Friday!
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Assistant Accountant will be an integral member of the accounts team.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
* Monthly Bank Reconciliations
* Accounts Payable, dealing with Supplier Queries, Supplier Statement Reconciliations
* Monthly Creditor Payment run, posting of payments to Accounts System, inputting payments to our online banking for subsequent authorisation by Financial Controller
* Central Statistic Reporting, Monthly Intrastat and VIES Returns
* Assisting with bi-monthly preparation of VAT Returns
* Quarterly reconciliations: Actual Sales to Forecast, Chassis Reconciliations, Stock review (at time of stock take), Purchases reconciliation, Wages Analysis;
* Quarterly Management Accounts: Assist the financial controller in the preparation of the management accounts, Assist with Inter-Company reconciliations;
* Adhoc duties as required
Skills Required For The Job
* 2+ years experience in a similar role
* Relevant higher qualifications is an advantage but not essential
* Good IT skills (Experience using spreadsheets, payroll software, Accounts system a distinct advantage)
* Ability to handle a busy workload and prioritise work with a high level of attention to detail.
* Excellent team player
* Structured approach to undertaking work and reporting.
Hours Of Work
* Monday to Thursday - 8.00am - 5.00pm
* Friday - 8.00am - 1.00pm
