The role involves managing airfreight export shipments, acting as the primary point of contact for clients, and ensuring the seamless movement of goods through the supply chain from dispatch to delivery.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee the full airfreight export process, ensuring compliance with all regulations and documentation requirements.
* Coordinate with carriers, customs authorities, and key stakeholders to ensure timely shipment delivery.
* Provide high-level customer service, addressing client inquiries and resolving shipment-related issues efficiently.
* Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding shipment updates and potential delays.
* Monitor and manage shipment schedules, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
* Prepare and review export documentation, including bills of lading, air waybills, and customs declarations.
* Track the status of shipments and provide real-time updates to clients.
* Collaborate with internal teams to optimise shipment handling and improve operational efficiency.
* Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the airfreight operation.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in airfreight exports or a related logistics role.
* Strong understanding of export documentation, airfreight processes, and customs regulations.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to handle multiple client needs.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced logistics environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
* Proficiency in logistics software and shipment tracking tools.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
* Familiarity with international shipping and customs procedures is highly desirable.
