Manufacturing Process Engineer (Metal Stamping/Press Shop)

Due to continued growth, the company has an opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer (Metal Stamping) to become part of our high performing team based in Gweedore, Co.Donegal, Ireland.
Requirements of the role:
* Identifying opportunities for improvement across all Press Shop (Metal Stamping) Manufacturing processes;
* Develop, schedule and coordinate execution of improvement plans identified above;
* Work with Production and Quality Teams to reduce rework activities in the organisation, driven by process improvement actions;
* Support introduction of new tooling into Production to ensure a smooth transition of projects from Engineering through to Manufacturing;
* Engage in early stages of tool design and part process feasibility to ensure that all aspects of optimal manufacturing practice are being considered;
* Taking the lead on tool buy off activity;
* Work to identify opportunities for material reduction;
* Consistently checking and improving run-at-rate on all production processes;
* Ensure that all downtime is being accurately captured and develop and execute appropriate plans to improve/minimise same;
* Ensure that all process improvement activities are time/resource managed and executed accordingly (i.e. Project Management);
* Responsibility for ensuring that any process changes are implemented in line with H&S and Quality standards.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Minimum 3+ years in a similar Press Shop Manufacturing Process Engineering role preferred;
* High level of attention to detail;
* Ability to communicate (verbal/written) fluently in English essential;
* Project Management experience strongly preferred;
* Strong numerical and clerical skills required to ensure clear preparation of instructions, records, timing plans, action logs, etc.
Working Hours
This role will involve a core 39 hour week and flexibility will be required as and when necessary to ensure efficient functioning of operations.
Salary will be competitive to attract the right candidate to be part of a high-performing Engineering Team and will be commensurate with the level of experience and qualifications of the candidate.
