Assistant Accountant Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Accountant to join our growing finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement budgetary control processes, providing reports, investigating variances, and advising on corrective actions.
* Perform financial reviews of provider organisations, validating the accuracy of their financial returns, and drafting reports for review.
* Provide senior Finance staff with performance information, escalating issues and proposing resolutions.
* Assist with ad hoc investigations and reports, producing regular reports in accordance with agreed timetables.
* Represent the Finance section on internal/external committees and working groups.
* Identify business improvements to enhance Finance section performance.
Requirements:
* Qualifications: AAT or IATI final examinations, foundation papers of a CCAB body, or a relevant Bachelor's degree with accounting as the major component.
* At least 3 years' experience in an accounting environment, covering areas such as budget setting, forecasting, monitoring, and reporting; preparation or review of statutory or management accounts; and use of integrated financial management systems.
