MTU established the Hincks Centre of Entrepreneurship Excellence in 2013. This Centre provides a focal point through which the University organises and optimises its educational, research and training programmes in Entrepreneurship. Duties of the Post Include but are not limited to: Develop and implement the Centres Strategic Plan. Lead and manage programme initiatives, research, project and funding proposals, and direct coordination of units activities to ensure a smooth flow of operations. Drive the development of training, specific modules and programmes, academic research and accreditation in entrepreneurship. Deliver training/customised programmes as assigned. Support relevant development programmes for MTU staff who will be participating in the delivery of entrepreneurship programmes. Manage the diverse range of internal and external relationships which will be critical to the ongoing success of the Centre. Ensure that the Centre contributes fully to the ongoing development of MTUs entrepreneurship and innovation eco-system. Supervise assigned staff by establishing goals, setting schedules, assigning tasks, monitoring and evaluating performance. Supervise research postgraduate candidates. Work with MTU and its stakeholders to fulfil regional entrepreneurship requirements. Research and identify trends and needs relating to entrepreneurship programmes and activities. Lead and implement the marketing strategy for the Centre. Prepare and manage the Centres financial/operational budgets. Drive the national and international reputation of the Centre. Participate in meetings and events nationally and internationally as assigned. Evaluate and ensure the quality of entrepreneurship programmes and activities. Any other such relevant duty that may arise from time to time. Qualification Requirements and Selection Criteria for role: Essential: A Level 8 Honours Primary Degree (second class or higher) from a recognised degree awarding authority, in an appropriate area together with an appropriate post graduate qualification or equivalent. OR An equivalent relevant professional qualification obtained through examination. AND Not less than five years of relevant professional industrial, research and/or teaching experience subsequent to obtaining the above qualifications. A successful candidate will be required to submit a passport, documentary evidence confirming academic qualifications, and to undergo a medical examination. Garda vetting and/or an international police clearance may also be required. References will be sought in relation to successful candidate. MTU welcomes applications from non-EEA citizens.
