About Your New Job
As Procurement Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects. Your responsibilities include:
* Managing EPC Tendering Processes: Develop procurement plans and contracting strategies, prepare tender documentation, analyze contractor proposals, and create evaluation and recommendation reports. You will also support contract negotiations through FID closing.
* Overseeing Contract Implementation: Work closely with Project Managers and the ECM team to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective project delivery during the construction phase.
* Driving Financial Optimization: Contribute technical and commercial inputs to financial modeling, including accurate capex and opex forecasting.
* Fostering Strategic Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain partnerships with contractors and suppliers through regular updates and workshops, ensuring long-term collaboration.
* Innovating with Industry Trends: Stay ahead of technical advancements, create technology roadmaps, and integrate next-generation solutions into preliminary designs.
* Tracking Market Dynamics: Monitor commercial trends and supply chain developments, providing strategic guidance through detailed reports.
* Conducting On-Site Evaluations: Perform site visits to ensure alignment with project goals and standards.
What Skills You Need
* A bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
* 6+ years of experience in renewable energy, preferably in utility-scale solar PV, BESS, or grid connection infrastructure procurement.
* Proven expertise in procuring construction services and negotiating contracts, with knowledge of FIDIC contracts being a plus.
* Strong communication, organizational, and resource management skills, coupled with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
* A proactive, self-motivated mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* A high level of attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
* A valid driver’s license for the UK & Ireland.
