We provide life science, diagnostic, and applied market laboratories worldwide with instruments, services, consumables, applications, and expertise. Agilent enables customers to gain the answers and insights they seek -- so they can do what they do best: improve the world around us.
Do you have commercial expertise to sell technical solutions and are you looking to kick start your sales career? If so, you might be the person that we are looking for!
We are currently looking for a Graduate Instrument Sales Account Manager – preferably based in the Cork area (South Ireland) - to join our industry leading instrument sales team, part of the Agilent Technologies Ireland team. In this dynamic role, you will be supporting the instrument sales team initially to gain sales experience and promote and sell analytical instruments to assigned accounts in the South-East area of Ireland.

Working closely with competitive and successful sales professionals, you will support your development and success. You will be responsible for maintaining and growing market share across the Agilent product portfolio (chromatography, mass spectrometry, and spectroscopy instrumentation) to reach your financial targets.
This is a highly independent role in an international team, where you will be responsible for:

* Consistently monitoring the customer experience and strengthening the customer relationship
* Supporting the field sales team to help execute on the country sales strategy
* Creatively tailoring solutions to meet customer requirements with close support from Product Specialists and Application Engineers
* Driving account and territory strategic plans for growth
In this critical sales role, you will utilise your demonstrated commercial expertise to sell solutions consultatively. You will collaborate closely across all Agilent channels: CSD (Consumables), CSO (Service Delivery), SSD (Service Sales), and COPC (Customer Operations Center).
Qualifications
* Degree in Biology, Chemistry, other applied field or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Working understanding of Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, and Spectroscopy instruments as it pertains to an analytical lab
* Some sales experience in either Agilent's markets, or in another sales environment preferable
* Fluent in English
* Clean full driving license
What will make you stand out:
* The ability to negotiate and mitigate critical customer issues
* Ability to interface at all levels within an organization for both internal/external customers
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal and presentation skills
* Teaming/collaboration skills (resource management and team leadership)
* Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical, Biopharma, and Chemical Analysis industry would be a valued asset
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and macros
* Networking abilities to integrate customer priorities and influence key stakeholders
What we offer
* A permanent position in an international and multifaceted workplace with exciting challenges and opportunities. You will become part of a company with very high ethics, values, and business standards.
* Outstanding company culture
* Career development opportunities
* Company pension scheme, yearly company bonus, private health care, medical & life insurance, company car or car allowance
You will become part of a company that works according to these values:
We move life sciences and diagnostics forward, care about the needs of our customers and strive to ensure people are treated consistently, fairly, and with respect. We deliver effective life science and diagnostic solutions valued by our customers.
We will make sure you get all the training and development opportunities you need to become the best in your field!
