About the Role We require a civil engineer to work on the delivery of wind farms, solar farms, energy storage andpowergrid infrastructure projects.
The role will involve civil engineering design reviews, site assessments, reporting and providing technical support to the project management teamintaking projects through the pre-construction and construction phases.The majority ofour projectsarelocatedinIreland with some in the UK.
The role presents an opportunity to build a career in the fast-growing renewable sector where technology is developing rapidly.

Responsibilities Providecivil engineeringsupportonrenewable energy projects during planning, pre-constructionand construction stages.
Review designsof civil and structuralengineering elementsofrenewable energyprojects, includingroads,drainage,geotechnical design, windturbine foundation, solar PV piling and mounting structures andotherrelatedinfrastructure.
Review designs of substation buildings,compoundsand equipment plinths against ESB,EirGridand Building Regulation requirements.
Attend construction meetings both on site and remotely.
Carry outsite visits tomonitorand review general progress and quality of contractors construction works.
Carry out site visits to performbuilding inspections,steeland concrete inspections Provide input for the preparation of Employers Requirements and other technical documents for inclusion in construction contracts.
Support PM team with review of tender documents from civil contractors.
Support PM team in managing construction interfaces between contractors and other project stakeholders.
Assistthe civil engineering and project teams with project cost estimates and tendering for design services.
Liaise with clients, contractors, site investigation companies and statutory bodies such as Inland Fisheries, OPW or TII.
Build up a strong understanding of the Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) and Principal Designer (PD) roles.
Provide support to the team in relation to health and safety and quality documentation, including carrying out design risk assessments and on-site risk assessments and site audits.
Assistwith desktop studies of proposed and existing wind farm, solar farm, battery storage and substation projects.
Assistwith the preparation of tenders and specifications for various engineering contracts for renewable energy projects.
Support with the preparation of civil engineering, site layout and route survey drawings by the CAD team.
Proficiencywith AutoCAD is desirable, and experience withCivil 3D,Revit,AutotrackandInfraworkswould be beneficial but not essential.
Industry Knowledge Build andmaintainknowledge of industry activity, relevantlegislationand regulations applicable to the role and how they apply to the renewable and sustainable energy projects in relevantjurisdictions.
Activelyparticipatein CPD courses.
Engagement with industry contractors, designers, and equipment suppliers to ensure awareness ofbest inclassindustry offerings and opportunities foradditionalefficiencies for Clients or potential cost savings.

Person Requirements Educated to degree level (minimumLevel8) incivilengineering(essential).
Minimum3years experience incivilengineering roles(essential).
Civil engineering experience of renewable energyor civil engineering infrastructureprojects would be a significant advantage.
Working towards chartered membership ofaprofessional body.
Hold a current driving licence.
Safe Pass and manual handling training (essential).
Enthusiastic,self-motivated, strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively and flexibly within a small team environment.
A keen interest in renewable energy and sustainability is desirable.
Able to work from our Dublin office (hybrid working possible).
Flexibility in relation to traveling and working on sites across Ireland.
Legally entitled to work in Ireland.
