Maintenance Technician - Days
Our client is a specialist, precision manufacturer with sites located across the globe and more than 60 years of expertise within their field.
Your New Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you will report to the Facilities Manager and ensure all plant, equipment, and services on site are operational and maintained in a safe working order.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Diagnose equipment faults in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic disciplines
* Prioritize work as events occur
* Effect repairs where possible or seek technical assistance from suppliers/manufacturers
* Identify and provide requisitions for parts and materials required for repairs
* Plan for and assist with the installation of new or relocated equipment
* Specify materials required for installations or relocations
To Carry Out Routine Inspections:
* Carry out routine/periodic inspections of plant/equipment as specified in regulations
* Effect repairs or withdraw from service as necessary
* Keep appropriate records using relevant systems
Requirements for Success:
* Time served Apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical discipline
* Minimum 2 years post-apprenticeship experience in a modern machine shop
* Experience working with CNC Turning & Milling Multi-Axis Machines
* Ability to work safely and with little supervision
What You'll Get In Return:
Earning a strong hourly rate of £18.95 for working a highly attractive shift pattern (Monday-Thursday 08:00-16:30 + early finish Friday 08:00-13:00).
