Safety, Health & Environmental Specialist (Environmental & Sustainability)

The Swords Campus has led the way in the development, scale-up, and commercial manufacture of Active Pharmaceuticals Ingredients (APIs), Highly Potent Active Pharmaceuticals Ingredients, and Chemical Intermediates for almost 60 years.
Job Description:
* Monitor environmental & sustainability programmes at the Swords site to ensure compliance with all applicable licenses, government regulations, and company standards.
* Identify, compile, and submit any regulatory reporting requirements within the required timeframes.
* Act as the site's Environmental contact for new product introductions and ensure compliance obligations are met.
* Conduct site compliance audits & inspections, report results, and track to closure.
* Lead and/or support the investigation of any environmental incidents/non-compliance events on site.
* Compile and report on-site Environmental & SHE metrics.
* Manage/coordinate all Environmental monitoring/sampling on site.
* Act as the main SHE point of contact for waste management issues.
* Ensure all environmental & sustainability programmes are compliant at all times.
* Identify & deliver environmental & sustainability improvement projects and initiatives.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 3 years professional experience in managing safety, health, & environment programmes.
* An undergraduate/post-graduate qualification in SHE.
* Deep knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance reporting.
* Mindset of continuous improvement, proactive, and results-focused.
* Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, presentation, and training.
We would prefer you to have:
* At least 2 years relevant experience in an EPA regulated facility.
* Specific experience in hazardous waste management.
* Compliance background in medical device, manufacturing, chemicals, or pharma.
* Experience of working under ISO accreditations.
This is a permanent role. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
