A dynamic technology transformation and engineering service provider specializing in the fields of medical devices, life sciences, and healthcare are seeking an EHS Engineer to join their team in Cork.
Job Description
* Maintain the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) management system per internal and regulatory requirements.
* Develop and deliver EHS training programs, including induction and job-specific topics.
* Conduct regular EHS inspections and audits to monitor system effectiveness.
* Prepare EHS reports and metrics for internal and external stakeholders.
* Lead on EHS issues, staying updated on evolving standards and technological solutions.
* Oversee the Emergency Response Programme, ensuring procedures, resources, and training are in place.
* Implement a robust EHS incident investigation process and lead investigations as necessary.
* Assess the EHS impacts of changes to plant, process, equipment, and ensure compliance and risk control.
* Ensure effective risk assessment and risk reduction programs.
* Maintain waste management requirements and environmental monitoring in line with license requirements.
* Lead EHS projects on-site and across the Ireland-UK region.
* Manage EHS budgets, driving efficiencies and cost savings.
Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree in EHS, Engineering, or Science discipline.
* 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Proven experience in EHS processes/systems implementation.
* Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulatory requirements and compliance programs.
* Extensive experience with EHS management systems and regulators (HSA, EPA, Local Councils).
* A full clean Irish Driver's License Class B.
* Excellent Communication & People Management Skills.

* Fixed Term Contract 12 Months (Possible Extension after Contract)
