Job Description:
PeopleCert is looking for a Senior Editor/Editorial Associate, experienced in publishing English content, who will be responsible for commissioning, developing, reviewing, editing, and proofreading our Business & IT products, i.e. ITIL, PRINCE2, DevOps Institute.
As a Senior Editor/Editorial Associate your tasks will include the following:
* Develop, edit and proofread content to ensure alignment with product specifications, instructional design specifications, structure and language consistency and excellent quality.
* Work closely with subject-matter experts, commissioning editor, product development, and product management to ensure that core guidance is aligned with the product specification.
* Source and liaise with Subject-Matter Experts (SMEs) and external partners, integral to product development.
* Liaise with various other internal and external teams to ensure the successful development and delivery of products, including designers, product team, marketing and printing.
* Monitor the process and report to the Project Manager, to ensure that projects are delivered to the agreed deadline, budget and specifications.
What we look for:
* Bachelor’s degree in a similar field.
* 5+ years experience in a similar role in publishing, including experience in managing SMEs and learning assets including Books, Digital Content and Training Materials.
* Exceptional copywriting, copyediting and proofreading skills.
* Proven experience in working well under pressure with tight deadlines, as well as solid teamwork and project management skills.
* Experience in Learning Management Systems (LMS) & Content Creation for learning platforms, will be an asset.
* Native or excellent command of the English language (C2 level certification is required, LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus).
* Be at the top of technology solutions, and use the latest tools as per the latest tech trends (e.g. creating content with AI tools).
* Knowledge & understanding of PRINCE2 or ITIL qualifications will be an asset.
* Advanced computer literacy is required. ECDL Advanced level certification is desirable.
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
* Well organized, detail-oriented, and analytical. Decision-making, able to work in a high-volume, complex, and fast-paced publishing pipeline.
* Ability to spot potential issues before they arise and escalate as necessary, and navigate/ negotiate competing demands and priorities from across the business.
