Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and compassionate HR Administrator to join our team at Liberty Recycling. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the recruitment process, managing HR policies, conducting staff reviews and identifying educational and development opportunities for staff. You will be working closely with a team that provides services to vulnerable adults, ensuring that both the staff and the individuals we support are provided with the necessary resources and guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Onboarding:
1. Assist in the recruitment process, including advertising job openings, screening candidates, and conducting interviews.
2. Ensure effective onboarding of new staff, particularly those who will be working with vulnerable adults.
3. Maintain accurate and confidential recruitment records.
2. HR Policies & Compliance:
1. Ensure compliance with HR policies, employment laws, and industry best practices.
2. Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
3. Maintain and update employee records.
3. Performance Management:
1. Coordinate and support the performance review process for all staff.
2. Work with department heads to identify performance goals and development needs.
3. Provide recommendations for improvements and address performance issues.
4. Staff Development & Training:
1. Identify the educational and training needs of staff members.
2. Coordinate and book relevant training courses and professional development opportunities.
3. Ensure staff are trained on working with vulnerable adults, health and safety protocols, and other necessary skills.
5. Employee Well-being & Support:
1. Provide general HR support and advice to staff.
2. Ensure staff well-being is a priority, and assist in identifying any additional support or accommodations needed, especially for those working with vulnerable adults.
6. Administrative Support:
1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR documentation, including contracts, attendance, and sickness records.
2. Provide general administrative support to the HR department as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Previous experience in HR or administrative roles, preferably in a social care or similar environment.
* A strong understanding of HR practices, employee performance, and staff development.
* Ability to work with vulnerable adults, with a compassionate and empathetic approach.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Knowledge of relevant HR legislation and industry regulations.
* An understanding of the challenges faced by individuals working with vulnerable populations.
Desirable:
* Qualifications in HR (e.g., CIPD) or related fields.
* Experience with HR software or databases.
* Knowledge of safeguarding protocols for vulnerable adults.
* First aid training or willingness to undertake first aid certification.
Working Conditions:
* This is a full-time position based at the Liberty Recycling office in Dublin 12.
* Some flexibility in hours may be required, depending on training schedules and recruitment needs.
