About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Junior Site Manager or Assistant Site Manager to oversee a 50-unit traditional build housing project in South Dublin.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in construction management, working closely with the Site Manager and project team.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Site Manager in overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring the project runs smoothly and safely.
* Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, tradesmen, and suppliers for timely and efficient delivery of work.
* Assist with preparing and maintaining the site schedule, meeting deadlines and project milestones.
* Evaluate health, safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
* Support quality control by conducting regular inspections to ensure work meets required standards.
* Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, including progress reports, site diaries, and health and safety logs.
* Provide support with managing site logistics, ensuring materials and resources are available when needed.
* Communicate effectively with the Site Manager, contractors, and other site personnel to ensure project objectives are met.
* Assist in resolving site issues and challenges, minimizing disruption to the project timeline.
* Contribute to maintaining a positive and efficient work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
Key Requirements
1. Previous experience in a construction site-based role, preferably within residential projects.
2. Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
3. A basic understanding of construction processes, site management, and safety regulations.
4. A proactive attitude with a strong willingness to learn and develop in the role.
5. An understanding of quality control, project scheduling, and site logistics is beneficial.
6. A relevant construction qualification (e.g., a degree or diploma in Construction Management or Civil Engineering) is preferred.
