Production planner

Job Description

Morgan McKinley is currently recruiting a Production Planner to join a multinational manufacturing company based in Dublin.

This is a permanent role within the supply chain team, responsible for implementing supply strategies to ensure timely and continuous supply of quality products to a global customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

* Create and monitor production schedules for the facility to meet market requirements and production targets.
* Maintain inventory requirements for raw materials to agreed targets and regularly report on any exposures for obsolescence.
* Ensure vendor lead times are accurate and in line with the Master schedule.
* Provide forecasts and manage the disposal of co-products working with the global sales partners.
* Monitor actual production against production schedules.
* Procure raw materials and packaging to meet agreed schedules.
* Monitor and report on KPI related to forecast accuracy, performance to plan, inventory targets, etc.

Requirements:

* 4+ years' experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
* Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or related discipline.
* Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical devices industry.
* Knowledge of supplier fulfilment capabilities to meet customer and internal requirements.
* Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system required.
