The Construction & Workplace Program Manager will possess experience in real estate and construction management, overseeing project execution and demobilization activities to ensure the orderly completion of project scope in accordance with Aptiv’s requirements. This role oversees the creation and implementation of standards and practices related to workplace strategy, project management, project controls, design, contracting, and cost and quality when it comes to facility projects.
Your Role:
* Oversee real estate and construction project activities from start to finish, including site acquisition, new construction, expansions, retrofits, and decommissioning of real estate assets. Oversight of key facility delivery projects complying with schedule, cost, and Aptiv requirements.
* Make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics in a “business language” format to present to business and global stakeholders.
* Define internal program governance arrangements. Prepare, procure, and monitor project schedules for both external consultants and contractors.
* Develop, implement & maintain standards and policies for Workplace Design.
* Manage communications with all project stakeholders, including IT PM, environmental H&S, procurement, etc. Establish process for project controls, monitoring, and reporting. Prepare budget analysis of both hard and soft project costs for regular reporting to Aptiv leadership.
* Develop oversight of global cost and quality process, monitoring expenditure and costs against delivered and realized benefits as the programs progress.
* Throughout the project lifecycle, influence project execution to remain in compliance with Corporate Policies and Procedures: Financial, Safety/Environmental, Regulatory, and applicable Government regulations.
* Lead the development and construction of Energy Efficient buildings in line with customer requirements.
* Engage & direct all 3rd party staff performing tasks such as Development Plans, staffing and planning models, workload assignments, and compensation reviews. Manage departmental expenses for cost center if applicable.
* Stay abreast of industry trends to improve efficiency and productivity. Use learning and benchmarking to continually improve workplace strategy & capital delivery performance.
Your Background:
* Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree, PMP certification preferred.
* 5-10 years of work experience in capital delivery/Project management.
* 5-10 years of Project management experience working on complex projects.
* Proven track record of working in a global corporate environment.
* 5-10 years of strong financial/budgeting/costing/project controls/forecasting experience and an overall knowledge of capital planning and delivery processes.
* Fundamental understanding of asset delivery processes.
* Understanding and passion to develop and implement a Global Workplace strategy.
* Understanding of manufacturing site operations and ability to establish strong rapport with engineering management at sites.
* Demonstrated ability to lead and indirectly manage teams of very experienced professionals. The capacity to achieve results through people is critical and ability to influence personnel and organizations without having direct authority.
* Occasional International travel required.
The Global Construction & Workplace Program Manager will be based at Aptiv’s corporate headquarters located in Dublin (Or Krakow).
