Design Manager Job Description
The Design Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Design Engineers/CAD Technicians to maximise their full potential. This includes implementing training and coaching programmes to fulfil operational requirements in line with Company strategy, policies, procedures, and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and lead Design Engineers & CAD Technicians overseeing multiple design projects.
* Problem solving and resolution of coordination and design roadblocks.
* Management of drawing standards and specifications.
* Manage and coordinate LPCB standards and inspection and accreditation process.
* Development and updating of Design SOPs, Manuals, Procedures for your Department in line with legislative, regulatory, Company and Client requirements.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years Fire Sprinkler Design Experience.
* Experience using Revit.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to prioritise work and manage challenging workload.
* Flexible, adaptable, and can-do attitude to work.
Educational Requirements:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related discipline.
Skillset:
* Fire Sprinkler Design.
* Revit.
