Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our dynamic team in the Craigavon area. The successful candidate will support the Finance Manager and Director of Finance, undertaking all tasks associated with the operation of the organisation's payroll functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Process all relevant people changes to payroll system
* Liaise with the HR department, collecting all relevant information
The Payroll Officer will also be responsible for:
* Uploading and inputting data in respect of monthly timesheets, additional payments, sickness, maternities, childcare vouchers, bike to work scheme and other payments and deductions as required
* Maintaining accurate records of manual workings for payroll
* Compiling and entering payroll data onto the payroll system
* Investigating and correcting payroll discrepancies and errors, liaising with staff/HR
* Producing and filing all appropriate payroll reports including payslips
* Processing payroll by established deadlines
* Assisting the Finance Manager in making payments to staff using on-line banking facilities, ensuring that payments made match payroll records
* Issuing payslips to staff and processing time specific and annual statements of earnings and deductions including P45, P60 and statements as needed
* Reconciling employee deductions and making payments/returns to relevant bodies as required
* Producing year-end documents relating to payroll for the annual audit
* Developing, managing and maintaining comprehensive payroll ensuring all requirements are met
* Addressing employee's pay-related concerns and providing accurate payroll information
Requirements
* GCSE (A-C grade) or equivalent in Maths & English
* 2 years+ experience of working with computerised accounting package
* Proven experience of effectively using a range of computer packages, in particular Excel
* Excellent communication and team working skills
