Based in their West Dublin office, our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Insurance Account Handler to manage a substantial portfolio of clients and contribute significantly to their continued success.
Role Overview:
As a Commercial Insurance Account Handler, you will assume responsibility for the end-to-end management of a portfolio of key commercial insurance clients. You will serve as a trusted advisor, providing expert counsel and ensuring the delivery of exceptional, tailored service.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Client Leadership & Development:
* Cultivate and strengthen partnerships with a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, serving as their primary point of contact and trusted advisor.
* Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and client consultations to develop bespoke insurance programs aligned with their evolving business objectives and risk tolerance.
* Provide guidance on complex policy structures, risk mitigation strategies, and emerging market trends, demonstrating a proactive and consultative approach.
* Identify and pursue opportunities to expand client relationships, contributing to the overall growth and retention of the business.
Expert Policy Management & Placement:
* Oversee the management of policy renewals, mid-term adjustments, and new business placements, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
* Develop and present compelling proposals that articulate value and demonstrate a thorough understanding of market dynamics and client-specific needs.
* Ensure meticulous maintenance of client records and documentation.
Advanced Underwriter Negotiation & Advocacy:
* Establish and maintain robust relationships with key underwriters, leveraging market knowledge to negotiate the most advantageous terms, conditions, and pricing for clients.
* Analyse and evaluate complex underwriter proposals, providing clients with expert recommendations and strategic insights.
* Demonstrate a deep understanding of underwriting philosophies, market trends, and negotiation best practices to achieve optimal outcomes.
Oversight of Complex Claims Resolution:
* Provide guidance and advocacy to clients throughout the claims process, ensuring efficient, effective, and equitable resolution of complex claims.
* Collaborate with clients, underwriters, and claims adjusters to facilitate the timely gathering of necessary documentation and information.
* Advocate for clients' interests, leveraging your expertise to achieve favorable claims outcomes.
Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:
* Ensure all activities are conducted in strict adherence to industry regulations and compliance standards.
* Maintain expert knowledge of evolving regulatory requirements and best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Previous experience as a Commercial Insurance Account Handler, with a proven track record of success in managing complex client relationships and portfolios.
* In-depth and current knowledge of commercial lines insurance products, market trends, and underwriting practices.
* Possession of relevant professional qualifications such as CIP or ACII.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and persuade at all levels.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions.
