Senior Electrical Engineer (CABLES) Ireland

Key Responsibilities:
* Design all aspects of transmission cable system from conceptualization to implementation for Onshore and Offshore projects.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of HV cables into substations, converter stations, and grid networks.
* Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost analyses for transmission cable system projects.
* Deliver innovative solutions for cable systems integration into major infrastructural development projects.
* Lead consenting stage cable system design and interface with civil and environmental teams.
* Design/Detail Design for Transmission cable systems at tender stage.
* Troubleshoot and resolve transmission cable-related issues during installation and operation/maintenance phases.
* Stay up-to-date with technological advancements in HV cable materials, insulation, and transmission technologies.
Candidate Specification:
* Essential qualifications include a Degree in Electrical Engineering, experience as a transmission cable systems engineer, strong analytical skills, good written communication skills, and excellent communication and people skills.
* Desirable qualifications include a Master's in Electrical Engineering, experience in design of both onshore and offshore transmission cable systems, experience in design of HV cable transmission systems for UK and Ireland utilities, and experience in design of HVAC and HVDC transmission cable systems.
