A Brief Overview of Our Operations in Ireland
In Ireland, we employ around 6,000 people across ten sites. We have six manufacturing facilities located in Clonmel, Cootehill, Donegal, Longford, and Sligo, as well as a third-party manufacturing management operation in Sligo. Your Role at Abbott
We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer (OSI-PI) to work in our Data Systems division based at our new Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) manufacturing facility in Kilkenny, Ireland.
Responsibilities:
* Support and maintain manufacturing operation (data) systems including hardware and software.
* Control Systems (SCADA, HMI)
* Communication between Industrial control systems
* Software change management and asset monitoring servers
* Batch Management software.
* Data Historian, OEE reporting and review, Energy Monitoring
* At Line inspection equipment and systems
* Spearhead and support manufacturing software system implementations across the Division. Covering URS development, Validation, and commissioning. Ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements.
* Lead projects with resources allocated from sites, division, outside service providers, contractors.
* Develop or implement standard manufacturing asset structures for data collection and data contextualization.
* Support and develop manufacturing data visualization, reporting and examination using Division and Corporate standards.
* Ensure secured IT infrastructure for continuous manufacturing operations with the Corp IT organization.
* Anticipate future needs of the business. Benchmark internally and externally. Recognize indicators of future opportunities; initiate plans to acquire new skills required by changes in technology.
Qualifications and Experience
We are seeking individuals with the following qualifications and experience:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering (Systems, Mechanical, Computer, Electrical, Biomedical, or Software), or related discipline. Master's degree in engineering (Systems, Mechanical, Computer, Electrical, Biomedical, or Software), or related discipline. (Preferred)
* 5+ years of significant OT, engineering, and/or operational experience, including systems integration experience/integrating all system components (electrical, mechanical, software), system architecture, requirement/user need gathering.
* Experience of software testing, verification, and validation.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively integrate information from varied disciplines and work within a highly regulated environment.
