Senior Safety Engineer - Construction Purpose Global Engineering Solutions (GES) is organised in a Technology organisation (responsible for the design of projects) and a Delivery organisation (responsible for the realisation of projects).
With a mixture of experienced project managers, project engineers, cost controllers, schedulers and estimators in co-operation with external partners, the project will be managed together with Technology colleagues through Frond-end loading till Commissioning, Qualification till handover.
Responsibilities Under the direction of the IRL/UK Construction Safety Lead the Senior Safety Engineer will have the following responsibilities: Lead the implementation of the GES construction safety strategy across the project lifecycle Review of the Construction and Commissioning & Quality plans Review of project specific work permits and Safe Plan of Action (SPA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and or Task Risk Assessments (TRA) Support/advise the GES project manager during all phases of the project in relation to the project safety performance Coach/support safety professionals with the GES practices and procedures Coach/support the contractors with the GES practices and procedures Roll out / implement of the safety incentive plan Participate in the constructability reviews Monitor and Evaluate the Safety Performance against Project Plan and identify improvements as required Lead and/or support incident investigations.
Qualifications Bachelors degree in engineering or related field of education; At least five years of experience in a comparable environment (pharmaceutical) Proven construction safety management excellence, demonstrated over multiple assignments Knowledge of Pharmaceutical product development and manufacturing facilities and plant operations are highly desirable Subject Matter Expert in respect to safety Familiar with MS Office Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
