Contracts Manager
Your new company is involved in the construction and maintenance of roads across Ireland. As a Contracts Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the roads maintenance operations and related services for the company.
About the Role
This position comes with a large business development side, as well as tendering and managing projects on site once secured. Your key responsibilities may include:
* Developing new business opportunities and partnerships for projects, ensuring maximum market exposure and high-quality service delivery to clients and partners.
* BUILDING STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH CLIENTS AND OVERSEEING PROJECTS FROM BID TO COMPLETION ON SITE.
* EXPANDING YOUR CUSTOMER BASE THROUGH EARLY DEVELOPMENT STAGE PROJECTS, BOTH FROM A SALES AND ENGINEERING PERSPECTIVE.
* PROVIDING TECHNICAL ADVICE TO CLIENTS ON DESIGN, PRODUCTS, AND PRICING.
* ASSISTING IN THE ENGINEERING OF TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS TO OVERCOME POTENTIAL ISSUES.
* MANAGING PROJECT HANOVERS TO OPERATIONS TO ENSURE SEAMLESS TRANSITION FROM AWARD TO DELIVERY.
* CONTRIBUTING TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE COMMERCIAL TEAM AND BUSINESS STRATEGY.
* Negotiating contract terms and conditions.
* FOLLOWING UP ON NEW LEADS AND REFERRALS.
* CLOSING DEALS AND BUILDING SUSTAINABLE RELATIONSHIPS WITH A DIVERSE RANGE OF CLIENTS.
* COMPLETING PRE-CONSTRUCTION CONDITION SURVEYS ON PROJECTS PRIOR TO WORKS COMMENCING.
* PROGRAMMING AND SCHEDULING WORKS TO MAXIMISE EFFICIENCY OF ALLOCATED RESOURCES.
* PLANNING AND COORDINATION OF CREWS AND SUBCONTRACTORS.
* ASSISTING WITH THE COMPILATION OF BUDGET COSTING FOR THE COMMERCIAL TEAM.
* DELIVERING PROJECTS WITHIN TIMELINES, BUDGET, AND COMPLIANT WITH AGREED SCOPE AND QUALITY.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A Civil Engineering Degree or Trade background
• Strong computer skills – Office, Excel, Windows, Outlook, General and/or Engineering Applications
• Awareness of civil engineering, site works, plant and equipment
