At Blackfield, we are delighted to partner with a leading multi-disciplinary consulting engineering practice that is currently seeking a motivated and dynamic Intermediate-Level Electrical Building Services Engineer to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of projects across the pharmaceutical, industrial, and commercial sectors.
The successful candidate will be involved in projects from initial concept through to detailed design and final handover. This is a permanent position based in Dublin.
Key Requirements:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (both 2D and 3D modelling)
* Solid experience with design software and electrical system design
* Strong ability to take direction from senior engineers while contributing proactively to the team
* A collaborative team player, able to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Design and Calculation: Complete detailed design calculations for various electrical systems, including: Power distribution; lighting and emergency lighting; Fire alarm systems; Security and access control systems; general services and data systems and Mechanical power and control.
* Drawings & Documentation: Prepare schematic and coordinated layout drawings using both 2D AutoCAD and Revit for 3D modelling and design coordination.
* Project Support: Assist in the preparation of schedules, data sheets, specifications, and other necessary project documentation.
* Site Surveys: Conduct site surveys to assess project requirements and collect relevant data for accurate designs.
* Cost Estimates: Contribute to the preparation of cost estimates and assist with budget management during the project lifecycle.
* Technical Reports: Prepare and compile technical reports as required for project milestones and client presentations.
* Contract Documentation: Assist in the preparation and review of contract documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with specifications.
* Health & Safety: Ensure that all work complies with health and safety regulations and standards relevant to electrical building services.
* Ad-Hoc Tasks: Undertake any other tasks necessary to support the successful delivery of projects.
