Description: Accounting Manager
We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager who shares our passion for helping our clients build exceptional companies. Accounting Managers are leaders who partner with our client’s boards, investors, CEOs, and leadership teams. In addition, they mentor and guide a variety of global personnel at Sikich. Accounting Managers lead and oversee client and internal teams to drive projects from start to completion while tracking tangible milestones and benchmarks.
Projects & Responsibilities Include:
1. Overseeing and executing daily accounting and finance responsibilities at our clients, especially core accounting functions like AR, AP, and month-end close (MEC).
2. Analyzing, developing, and working with client teams to implement financial and operational infrastructure for clients.
3. Managing and executing project work deliverables, including qualitative and quantitative tasks and analytics to accelerate revenue growth and profitability.
4. Creating monthly reporting packages, cash flow forecasts, and documentation of key processes and controls.
5. Maintaining strong attention to detail to ensure a consistent work product.
6. Directly managing projects to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.
7. Assessing and tackling project issues as they arise in a logical, data-driven manner.
8. Providing real-time feedback and updates to project teams and clients on a routine basis.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience in overseeing and executing daily accounting and finance responsibilities, especially core accounting functions like AR, AP, and month-end close (MEC).
2. Strong analytical skills to develop and work with client teams on financial and operational infrastructure.
3. Experience in managing project work deliverables, including qualitative and quantitative tasks and analytics.
4. Ability to create monthly reporting packages, cash flow forecasts, and documentation of key processes and controls.
5. Strong attention to detail to ensure a consistent work product.
6. Experience in directly managing projects to ensure milestones and deliverables are met.
7. Ability to assess and tackle project issues logically and data-driven.
8. Strong communication skills to provide real-time feedback and updates to project teams and clients.
