Procurement Specialist
The expansion of our supply chain team has created a need for an ambitious procurement specialist to take on this role. This position offers the opportunity to develop and grow our procurement discipline and value roadmap through optimised supplier management, risk mitigation, standardised procedures and supporting the development of our supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
* Govern the supplier qualification process in compliance with procurement policies and processes
* Optimise supplier validation, engagement, onboarding and management processes
* Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations to assess compliance with contractual obligations
* Lead quotation and tender activities
* Coordinate and drive contract negotiation with suppliers
* Develop innovative approaches to identifying vendor and process risk, and support mitigation activities to protect the company from potential liabilities
* Indirect material sourcing and procurement, ensuring accuracy and contract adherence
* Complete material and service analysis, validating activity and supporting variance reconciliation
* Track service and cost procurement KPIs and drive continuous improvement activities
* Provide ongoing support and updates to the Head of Supply Chain
* Construct reports and dashboard views for the Senior Management team
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in procurement
* Qualification in procurement or finance desired
* Experience driving procurement model change within supply chain is a distinct advantage
* Communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential
* A high degree of numeracy with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
