Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic HR Manager to lead our Human Resources function and deliver people-focused initiatives that support our organisational goals. This is a senior-level position requiring a strong background in HR leadership, strategy, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be proactive, solutions-driven, and committed to fostering a positive and inclusive working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with overall business objectives
* Lead and manage the HR function, overseeing recruitment, performance management, employee relations, and organisational development
* Act as a key link between management and employees, handling queries, concerns, and grievances professionally and effectively
* Support the development, engagement, motivation, and retention of employees
* Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that promotes high performance
* Maintain and enhance pay structures and benefits offerings
* Ensure compliance with employment legislation and best practice at all times
* Create, implement, and update HR policies and procedures
* Provide strategic input into workforce planning and talent management
* Promote a learning and development culture (a background in training environments is an advantage)
* Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organisation
* Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on all HR-related matters
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is essential
* At least 8 years’ senior experience in human resource management
* Demonstrable experience in leading the HR function, with a strategic and hands-on approach
* Proven background in developing and implementing HR strategy
* Strong working knowledge of UK employment law, HR policy, and procedural implementation
* People-focused, with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
* Skilled in using HR systems and data to inform decisions
* Ability to build strong, influential relationships across all levels of the business
* Professional HR qualification (e.g. CIPD Level 7) is highly desirable
* Experience in a training-focused or learning & development environment
