Equine College Teacher Kildalton College (Ref: 1257) Job Summary Duration: Temporary contract post, the indicative duration of which is 8 months, subject to contract.

Location: Kildalton Agricultural College, Kildalton, Piltown, Co. Kilkenny Background: Kildalton is the largest Teagasc college and a leading provider of training in Agriculture, Horticulture and Equine Studies in Ireland with over 1,300 students attending courses every year.
In addition to providing QQI accredited courses at levels 5 and 6 Kildalton College also provides courses at levels 7 and 8 with the South East Technological University (formerly WIT) making the college a progressive learning facility in the South East.
The equine unit consists of an indoor and two outdoor arenas, all weather cross country track, stable blocks, tack rooms, a horse walker and a breeding enterprise.
With some 50 horses available for practical work, equine students get excellent training in the care and management of horses, handling of young horses, and horse riding.
The appointee will join a team of equine staff responsible for development and delivery of the equine training programmes at the college.
