About the Position
The Plant Health & Safety Leader will ensure the health and safety of the workforce and compliance across the plant.
This critical role advises the leadership team, fosters a strong safety culture, and inspires positive behavioural changes throughout the site.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement innovative H&S practices and programs, promoting a culture of safety and well-being.
Ensure the plant complies with the latest H&S legislation and industry trends.
Regularly review and update H&S policies, ensuring all employees are informed and engaged.
Conduct safety audits and assessments to uphold high H&S standards.
Investigate accidents and incidents, ensuring timely corrective actions are implemented.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain H&S standards during the introduction of new equipment, processes, or materials.
Lead H&S training sessions that empower employees to take responsibility for safety.
Mentor and motivate Shift Safety Teams and the Emergency Response Team (ERT) to ensure preparedness.
Drive continuous improvement in H&S practices and help the company achieve industry-leading accreditations.
Oversee emergency response planning and ensure the site is always prepared for potential incidents.
Collaborate with the Occupational Health team to support employee wellness, ensuring the health and safety of the workforce.
Experience/Requirements:
4+ years of H&S experience, ideally in a regulated environment.
A genuine drive to improve safety standards and a proven track record of making a real impact.
Skilled at developing H&S management systems that inspire behavioural change.
Highly developed interpersonal skills, effectively engaging and influencing employees at all levels.
Able to work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring health and safety is a shared responsibility.
A deep understanding of H&S legislation and confident managing all aspects of H&S on site.
A degree in Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
A recognized qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
