This is an important role with an established private equity backed aircraft lessor. Working closely with the CFO, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering robust financial reporting and control to support the business.Please note the requirement that experience in an aircraft leasing or aviation finance environment is essential to be considered for the position.Duties will include:Manage the company accounting, accounts payable and receivable, audit and day-to-day expenses.Continuous development and improvement of budgeting and cash-flow processes.Oversee the production and presentation of the monthly management accounts.Oversee audits, tax reviews and other regulatory returns.Ensure financial policies are being adhered to as set out in the company financial guidelines.Ensure security of financial records and compliance with associated legislation.Implement and ensure adherence to systems and controls to ensure compliance, mitigate risks and safeguard assets.Management of the accounts functions including outsourced service provider.Manage financial targets and provide regular business update and review to the board.Reporting to and managing shareholder expectations including presentation of relevant financial data and reports at board meetings.Essential Skills, Attributes and Experience:10 years finance experience, including time in the aircraft leasing industry.‘Big Four’ experience and recognised accountancy qualification e.g. ACCA, ACA, CPA.Knowledge of IFRS.Excellent communication skills – internal and external.Excellent financial analysis skills.Numerate and logical.Natural presenter with experience presenting to investors.Seniority LevelMid-Senior levelEmployment TypeContractJob FunctionFinance and Accounting/AuditingIndustriesAirlines and Aviation, Aviation and Aerospace Component Manufacturing, and Financial Services
