Key Responsibilities The Compliance team at Navro serves as a Second line of Defence and oversight body, dedicated to supporting the firm's operational first line.
This role reports directly to the EU board and the Group Chief Compliance Officer.
Other reporting lines will be agreed at the time of any offer.
Requirements As the Head of Compliance (EU), you will be responsible for: This is a PCF-12 Role and you will be responsible for non AML compliance.
The PCF-52 role will be the responsibility of the Head of Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing Compliance.
Overseeing the EU Compliance function on a daily basis.
Maintaining policies and procedures in accordance with regulations.
Providing 2LOD oversight to the EU Operations team.
Managing certain regulatory returns and communication with relevant authorities.
Collaborating with UK counterparts to ensure alignment between EU and UK compliance objectives.
Proactively scanning for new regulations and implementing necessary compliance measures.
Establishing regulatory requirements for product development.
Participating in EU Leadership team meetings to support ongoing business operations.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensuring the organization complies with all relevant regulations and laws.
Compliance Framework:
Owning and maintaining the compliance framework and annual compliance plan.
Policy Implementation:
Updating and implementing internal compliance policies and procedures.
Compliance Risk Oversight:
Partnering with the Chief Risk Officer to identify, assess, and monitor compliance-specific risks across the business.
Training and Development:
Developing and delivering compliance training to employees.
Quality Assurance:
Ensuring the effectiveness of compliance processes and controls through regular reviews, while supporting internal and external stakeholders in meeting regulatory requirements
Advisory Role:
Acting as a key advisor to the Board of Directors on compliance matters.
Stakeholder Liaison:
Liaising with regulatory bodies, external auditors, and other key stakeholders.
Other responsibilities as the company grows.
To be successful in this role, you have: 7+ years of experience in a Compliance function, preferably in a leadership or deputy leadership role.
A diverse skill set in areas such as Internal Controls, Risk Management, Legal, or Audit is nice to have, while expertise in all of these is not expected.
Knowledge of the international Payments, remittance and Foreign Exchange spaces and relevant legislation (PSD, Emoney regulation etc) Possession of relevant compliance qualifications such as ICA, CAMS, or equivalent.
Proven experience in team management, including performance evaluations and team development Experience dealing with regulatory returns and presenting updates to senior leadership.
Familiarity with reporting to external regulatory bodies, such as the CBI or equivalent.
