Job Description & Summary: This role concerns the provision of AV support services to internal clients. Key areas supported include security compliance, laptop and AV equipment maintenance, room set-up and controls, audio and video conferencing, and in-meeting support services under strict control by agreed deadlines.
The position requires a high level of competency relating to core IT capabilities including troubleshooting, communicating solutions, quality control, task management, inter-team dependencies, and client management.
Purpose-led work you’ll be part of:
As an Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
To provide a very client-focused and dedicated support service to include:
1. In-room meeting & event support and setup
2. Product expertise
3. Equipment control and maintenance
4. Issue diagnoses, escalation, and ticket management
5. Meeting service targets and managing customer expectations
6. Assist users connect to MS Teams, WebEx, video conferencing calls & MS townhall
7. Plan AV requirements in advance of upcoming meetings or events
8. Plan maintenance with 3rd party support
9. Developing and delivering specific AV training to team members
Event activities:
1. Set-up of stage and mixing desk
2. Testing microphones
3. Testing visuals from laptops, tablets
4. Managing speakers and event organisers, ensuring clarity in what you can provide versus their expectations
5. Planning for the unexpected during events
6. Dismantle of equipment post-event and ensuring the rooms are returned to their normal use
Documentation:
1. Maintaining procedural and technical documentation
2. Developing and communicating fixes to complex problems
3. Developing user guides and related material
4. Meeting preparation, minute recording, and distribution (as required)
Lead/Contribute to Projects:
1. Deliver required audio-visual products or services.
The above is not an exhaustive list and will include completing any other reasonable task requested by management, which may include tasks outside the normal scope of this position.
Experiences and skills:
1. 3rd level related qualification
2. Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in the focused use of AV hardware and software for a business in a medium to large company
3. Planning, organisational and strong interpersonal skills
4. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and respond to changing priorities
5. Ability to prioritize client needs and deliver high-quality service
Technical skills required: A high level of competence in the use and support of a range of AV software & hardware products
1. Experience with Crestron, AMX hardware, and AVoIP (Audio Visual over IP)
2. Good understanding of IT/AV Networking
3. Knowledge of PowerPoint, Google Slides, MS Teams, MS Townhall, WebEx
4. Live event sound (microphones, laptops, tablets) and visual mixing
5. Issue diagnoses, escalation, and ticket management
6. Video conferencing and audio-conferencing knowledge
7. Ability to apply past AV experience to current situations to resolve issues and/or provide recommendations
8. PC, MAC, and iOS knowledge and ability to troubleshoot basic issues
9. Experience supporting live broadcasts & webcasts
10. CTS qualification (desirable)
11. Dante qualification (desirable)
12. AV Security experience (desirable)
13. AV Project experience (desirable)
14. Knowledge of Cisco Room Series equipment
