DescriptionYou will be responsible for engaging on legislative, regulatory and policy developments at EU and national level that have the potential to bring opportunities/risks for daa and develop and deliver strong engagement plans to ensure that relevant decisions are reflective of daa priorities. You will ensure that new developments in these areas are monitored and communicated within daa and appropriate tools are developed to manage and communicate daa’s position on emerging issues. You will represent daa on appropriate forums, attend meetings with external stakeholders and support CEO/ Executives in their stakeholder engagement activities. You will report to the Director of Communications and be part of her leadership team, with peers including the Deputy Director of Communications, Head of Internal Communications, and Media Relations Senior Manager. Communications is part of the Department of the Chief Governance and Strategy Officer. ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
Stakeholder Management
Develop and manage daa’s overall strategic stakeholder engagement process:
Identify daa priority stakeholders and lead the development of the company’s annual engagement plan for key groups
Provide leadership and expertise on stakeholder management for key airport projects
Devise and lead impactful engagement strategies with targeted audiences to increase visibility on key topics and promote the business’ reputation
Ensure daa’s positions are reflected accurately to identified audiences
Provide advice and recommendations to CEO, Executive Team and across the organisation on political and policy stakeholder engagement
Prepare high-quality briefings and a range of stakeholder tools for use by the business to support stakeholder engagement activities
Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships and represent the organisation in key forums and Committees
Provide relevant updates to Board / Executive Team and Senior Management on stakeholder engagement strategy and activities
Policy Management
Develop and implement daa’s strategic policy management plan and processes
Monitor the political landscape and proceedings of relevant legislative bodies including the Dail, Seanad and EU
Anticipate and provide analysis of key policy and political developments to an internal audience and inform Executive Team / Senior Management on the potential implications for daa
Engage relevant stakeholders on strategic business priorities and challenges
Work closely with daa’s Communications Team to ensure daa’s position on emerging issues is amplified through the media
Oversee/respond to public consultations on behalf of the business to articulate policy positions.
Provide expert advice and consultation to internal departments on stakeholder engagement approaches and develop high quality briefing and engagement materials
Work collaboratively with external stakeholders to develop common industry policy positions, including through industry associations, working groups and other third parties
Conduct research and analysis including benchmarking and impact assessments
Manage Parliamentary Questions process on behalf of the organisation
Direct strategic discussions and communications efforts with key government officials relating to legislation and other policy initiatives to amplify daa's strategic priorities.
