We are seeking a talented Equipment & Tools Design Engineer to join our innovative team in Tullamore, Ireland. As part of the Manufacturing Engineering SCC team, you will develop mechanical machines, tools, fixtures, and jigs required for the production of high-end products.
Key Responsibilities
* Utilize CAD software to develop detailed 3D drawings and visualize high-tolerance jigs, fixtures, and machines.
* Collaborate with NPI Project Leaders and cross-functional teams to design and construct mechanical engineering solutions aligned with safety and design standards.
* Integrate electrical components into mechanical systems with support from Control & Test Engineering.
* Represent the engineering department on mechanical design matters and provide expert-level support company-wide.
* Create detailed part and machine drawings for supplier quotations and sourcing.
* Develop prototypes, BOMs, specifications, and operation manuals as required.
* Maintain a centralized design database, ensuring all drawing revisions are accurately stored.
* Facilitate smooth commissioning and qualification of jig/fixture/machine designs for production.
Your Profile
* Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Engineering.
* Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., CREO, SolidWorks, or Windchill).
* 3-5 years of experience in a similar position.
* Strong accountability, autonomy, and a solution-oriented mindset.
* Fluent in English with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office.
* Workshop or tool-making experience.
* Knowledge of continuous improvement methods.
