We are now seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join us and play a key role assisting our clients in the transition to a low carbon energy future. The role will involve working in a dynamic and fast-paced organisation and will afford the candidate the opportunity to work on strategic and innovative projects across all stages of delivery from concept to design and construction.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team and assist with all aspects of project delivery;
* Assist with preparing and maintaining project documentation, including Risk Register, Issue Register, Daily Log, Project schedules, Project Budgets and Governance approvals;
* Ensuring that appropriate project controls are maintained and updated having regard to budgets, schedule, scope, quality risk and other performance indicators;
* Assist with the tracking and updating of project control documents including budgets, schedules, risk logs, communications logs etc.;
* Identifying and managing internal and external project Stakeholders, ensuring regular and timely communications at all levels;
* Demonstrate the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative work environment;
* Monitoring and documenting project progress and other performance indicators;
* Preparing project reports, presentations, status updates, dashboards and briefing materials for Senior management;
* Support the Senior Project Managers in continued improvement of processes and systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
* 3+ years relevant experience preferably with a construction / energy / engineering background;
* Power system industry expertise, utilities / construction experience;
* Knowledge of the industry, environment and context, experience working within a similar regulated utility environment;
* Excellent communication and written skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience;
* Excellent organisational and communication skills;
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team;
* Recognised qualification in energy efficiency / renewable energy;
* Experience delivering renewable energy projects either onshore or offshore;
* Recognised accredited Project Management Professional (PMP) Qualification.
