Our client a leading packaging solutions provider based in Limerick are seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join their team. The successful candidate will report to the Technical Manager
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including replacing motors, relays, contactors, and overloads.Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults to identify and rectify issues promptly.Conduct wiring and panel upgrades to enhance equipment performance and safety.Possess a strong knowledge of 24V control circuits and their application in a manufacturing environment.Replace software cards and update control systems to optimize machine functionality.Implement lockout tag-out procedures to ensure the safety of personnel during maintenance activities.Thoroughly inspect and sign off machines electrically to ensure compliance with industry standards.Take responsibility for training and mentoring electrical apprentices to develop their skills and knowledge.Keeping stock levels in stores up to date and replacing stock when equipment is low.Responsible for contractors on site doing electrical work.A minimum of 5 years of work experience in a production companySuccessfully completed an Electrical Apprenticeship and hold a national craft card.Experience in a working maintenance / manufacturing environment is required.Excellent communication skills, PC Literate,Team player with good interpersonal skillsExperience of utilising Electrical technical manuals and drawingsMust be willing to travel globally to provide technical support to sister companies if required.Understanding of good manufacturing practices, PM and TPMAnalytical approach to problem solving.Self-motivated, high energy, positive attitude with initiative for timely completion of goalsPLC Experience is highly desirableAbility to lead by teaching.
