Basic Function & Purpose of the Role
About the RoleManage the team of five Field Sales Representatives in the region to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of agreed sales objectives.Optimise revenues from the region, in line with The National Lottery’s strategic goals & objectives. Formulate and secure agreement of sales budgets and KPI’s for the Region.Oversee the recruitment and selection of Retailers to achieve the best possible reach and penetration to ensure access for players is fully optimised. Manage and oversee the execution of the Retail Excellence and Compliance programme to ensure best in class standards are maintained across the Retail estate. Ensure adherence to all relevant policies, procedure and regulatory requirements under Licence and strict alignment with the Retail Sales Agent Compliance policy & Codes of Practice.Work collectively with the National Account Manager in managing targeted key accounts and top-performing retail groups accounts to maximise performance responsibly through the perfect store model – product range, positioning, promotion & compliance.Working in partnership with the National Accounts Team, Sales Support Team and the Customer Experience Manager on completing projects and assigned tasks aligned to the retail strategic roadmap. You will oversee day to day operations including:The Retail Compliance Policy including the application of sanctionsThe Mystery Shop/Age Control campaign Purchase restrictions campaignScratch Card Supply management and returnsRetail Certification and Training ProgrammeTerritory Management – Appointment/cancellation of retailers In association with the National Sales Manager ensure there is a robust communications plan with the Field Sales team through encouraging dialogue, feedback and participation in all decision-making structuresPreparing, contributing and participating in all sales meetings and cross functional work groupsEmploy a people first culture ensuring our people strategy is aligned to the core values of the CompanyLead, manage, coach and support the field sales team in achieving and succeeding in assigned tasks, objectives and strategiesAbout YouYou have a minimum of 5 years of FMCG industry experience You have a minimum of a third level qualification in a related fieldYou're an individual who can influence across senior levels in Commercial Communities and create alignment within cross-functional teamsYou've a strong analytical skillset and ability to interpret data and insights to better inform strategiesYou have excellent product knowledge & commercial acumenYou have strong negotiation and presentation skillsYou are results oriented and KPI drivenYou're motivated and driven to progressAbout the Team The National Lottery Retail Team sits within the wider Commercial structure at Premier Lotteries Ireland (PLI) and is responsible for the delivery of over 80% of product sales through its retail channel. The team manages the National Lottery’s Retail Distribution network ensuring it’s fully optimised in terms of reach and accessibility for players. Central to its mission is how we engage and maintain strong working relationships with our Retail Partners to maximise Lottery positioning & visibility in-store.We operate to an excellence programme that drives the highest standards of excellence and compliance in the sale and promotion of National Lottery products at store level, while identifying opportunities for responsible growth by enhancing the customer experience.
