The Role.
GMC Utilities Group is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team and support business performance within the utilities sector.
You will be responsible for analyzing staff productivity, tracking KPIs, and reviewing project statistics to drive efficiency and informed decision-making.
This role requires expertise in Excel-based reporting, data visualization, and business insights.
Key Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Key Responsibilities: KPI Analysis & Reporting: Develop, track, and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for staff productivity and project outcomes.
Productivity Monitoring: Assess workforce performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve efficiency.
Project Data Review: Collect, clean, and analyze project data to evaluate success rates, timelines, and costs.
Excel & Reporting: Create and maintain automated reports, dashboards, and spreadsheets for operational insights.
Data Interpretation: Translate complex datasets into clear insights for senior management.
Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and work with teams to streamline reporting and data processes.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with HR, Operations, and Finance teams to align data insights with business goals.
The Candidate: Required Experience and Competencies: Proven experience as a Data Analyst (preferably in the utilities, energy, or infrastructure sector).
Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros, Power Query).
Experience in KPI reporting and workforce productivity analysis.
