The Role
The AFC function performs a critical role in keeping Deutsche Bank’s business operations as well as the global financial services clean from financial crime while serving the interests of the bank and society at large. Deutsche Bank benefits from having a highly experienced and dedicated AFC function that helps the bank in taking care of future challenges in fighting financial crime. We use state of the art technology such as Java, Angular, Spring boot, GraphQL, Microservices, Spark, Camel, Docker, Sonar, Bitbucket to support various business functions.
The expectation is that this will be 8-hour workday as per typical day shift hours. However, there may be a requirement to work flexible shifts to cover 7am – 10pm (German Time) to provide additional coverage to client on occasion. There will be requirement for flexible working hours and weekend work on occasion if required (covering extended production issues and weekend planned maintenance work). There may be an element of on call required in the role.
Key responsibilities:
* Good knowledge and – preferably, hands-on experience on java and microservice architecture, Angular.js/React.js.
* Good knowledge on database and SQL queries.
* Incident/problem management - good at root cause analysis, troubleshooting and debugging the application to resolve production incidents reported.
* Good at effort estimation and understanding complex scenarios that might arise in a production business scenario.
* Taking ownership of any problem reported on the production environment and working closely with the L2/Dev team to deliver the solution for technical infrastructure components (i.e., databases, middleware and user interfaces) in a fast-paced environment.
* Co-ordination and collaboration with other teams and escalation handling - collaborates with colleagues participating in other stages of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
* Production alerts monitoring – monitor the reports/alerts generated to identify and diagnose any production issues and act swiftly on resolution.
* Suggest and implement solutions and improvements to mitigate repeat production issues.
* Documentation and reporting – prepare and maintain up-to-date documentation of relevant information required for production incident management.
* Closing open tickets by adhering to the production support service level agreements.
* Good to have - knowledge on CI-CD, DevOps and cloud.
Your Profile
Key skills/knowledge/experience:
* Overall, 12-15 years of relevant IT experience and demonstrated ability to work with a variety of people and achieve results. 10 years of proven experience in application production support.
Strong and expert on the technologies below
* Technologies: J2ee, Spring, Spark, Workflow, REST Services, Oracle, OpenShift (Fabric)
* SCM: GIT, SVN
* Build tools: Maven (Build tool) / Gradle
* SDLC Tools: JIRA, Sonar, Veracode, Jenkins, BitBucket, ALM etc.
* Practices: DevOPS, Agile (Safe)
* Other open source: Spring Framework, Spring Boot, GraphQL, Angular
* Other skills: XML / XSL / XSLT, Templating
* Hands-on development experience and should be able to execute full stack application.
* Preferred experience in banking domain specifically KYC application
* Strong analytical skills and communication skills with fluency in English (written / verbal)
* Ability to work in virtual teams and in matrixed organizations.
* Excellent team player and open-minded approach
* Keeps pace with technical innovation.
* Understands the relevant business area ensures deliveries are as per business and functional requirements. Identifies gaps and takes proactive steps to fill in as necessary.
* Ability to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members.
* Ability to design and write code in accordance with provided business requirements.
* Knowledge of IT delivery and architecture including knowledge of Data Modelling and/or BA.
* Relevant Financial Services experience.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing and alternating priorities with a constant focus on delivery.
* Ability to balance business demands and IT fulfilment in terms of standardization, reducing risk and increasing IT flexibility.
Good to have:
* Knowledge and experience of Google Cloud.
* Excellent communication and experience in stakeholder management. Ability to prioritize the tasks and work in an efficient way in the planned release timelines
