Job Summary
We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Trading Finance team. This role will involve working closely with one of six categories within the Trading Team.
Key Responsibilities
* Support, challenge, and govern a category to achieve financial and operating targets.
* Provide timely Management Information for use within the Category and the wider Musgrave Business.
* Bring to life the wider Protect and Grow Finance Strategy within the Category.
Category Governance
The Financial Analyst will ensure appropriate Governance systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained.
Financial Reporting and Analysis
This role includes financial reporting and analysis of Sales, Income, and Margin performance for the category, investigating variances, and providing value-adding insights and commercial awareness.
Annual Budgets and Forecasts
The Financial Analyst will prepare and present annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for the category.
Support for Trading Initiatives
This role involves supporting category trading initiatives, trials, and business initiatives, as well as income-generating initiatives that may include supplier meetings.
Ad-hoc Analysis
The Financial Analyst will perform ad-hoc analysis as required.
Requirements
* Be a qualified accountant with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
* A general business qualification would be an advantage.
* Have highly numeric and analytical skills, including advanced Excel skills.
* Be a self-starter, able to operate in a dynamic environment, demonstrate good attention to detail, good judgment, and logical decision-making.
* Have a proven ability to influence at a senior level in the organization.
